Product Sales Manager in Woodland Park, CO
Position Purpose:
To manage all functions of the Woodland Park campus product sales, both in-person sales and online store. Creating a relevant product mix of AWM, Charis, and other products and resources. Planning appropriate staffing and schedules. Track and follow up budgets and expenses tied to product sales. This position will oversee a team including staff and interns, and ensure students and guests are assisted in a variety of ways. Working with other relevant departments and teams to serve students, staff, and visitors.
Essential Duties:
- Composing and maintaining a relevant product mix in the store, that serves Charis’ mission.
- Ensure efficient placement, arrangement, and presentation of products, to enhance the shopping experience and facilitate sales.
- Plan and implement seasonal changes, or thematical changes to the product offering/display, depending on the audience expected for a given event.
- Secure that sales systems are operational, and that cash handling is in line with ministry policies.
- Establish and develop a relationship with vendors, to acquire good products and pricing
- Present reports of sales, revenue, and expense to the management team as needed
- Prepare periodic accounting and inventory reports as required
- Develop and write standard operating procedures (SOPs) to secure good operation and handover of tasks
- Manage, coach, and mentor staff and volunteers to keep up team morale and motivation to serve our customers.
- Create an atmosphere of hospitality, ensuring excellence in interaction with customers, as each interaction is a ministry opportunity.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Product Sales
- Monitor, focus and implement improvements on areas compounding to financial margin
- Keep track of financial metrics and make necessary adjustments to improve results.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have problem-solving skills
- Basic mathematics and accounting knowledge is necessary
- Able to train and coach team members
- Able to lead a team in planning and executing initiatives and strategies to improve the operation
- Attention to detail
- Must have a high level of professionalism and discretion dealing with sensitive information
- Must have Microsoft Office Experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Exercise vision and sound judgment in decision making
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Creative, self-starter.
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign the Statement of Faith
- Must be service-oriented and have demonstrated abilities in establishing and maintaining essential work relationships.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; 2 Year Degree in Administration, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Charis Bible College graduate preferred.
- Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
- Customer service experience in a store or hospitality setting preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of Manager/ Leadership role.
- Experience in money management.
- Compensation commensurate with experience.
